[Solved] Force Install DayZ with Steam

Recommended Posts

PROBLEM SOLVED

Hello, i just buyed DayZ a few days ago. I buyed it on Steam, and my problem consists on this:

I installed DayZ on my laptop, but seeing my old laptop can't handle it, i tried to move the files of the game to my PC.

I tried to move it to the correct folder, where it should be installed. I tried to move the files to the downloading folder, in where the incomplete files are.

Anyone can help me? I searched out in google and the forum, doesn't seem anyone other has the same problem.

Just load up your steam account on the PC and select install.

I did that, it just started the download of the game again.

Most likely updating builds give it a few let me know if anything changes.

Wow, you actually helped me. Thank you so much.

I deleted all the local data, then closed steam, moved the game to the folder, then restarted steam and tried "install" it. It worked.
