Indoor Zombies and New Characters

Recommended Posts

Are zombies spawning indoors making it unnecessarily hard for new characters to get started? Is sneaking past the outdoor zombies only to be denied items in a house because there's a Zed there, unfair? Is the game too clunky and zombie evasion too hit and miss to be able to dash in, grab items and dash out?

The last 3 barns I checked were full of Zombies and no loot.... not bothering me right now as im pretty well equiped however yesterday:

I go to check one of those other kinda barn buildings that have the one door that opens/closes.. I sneak past the zombies no problem go to open the door and RAWWWWR a Zombie lurches through the door(still shut) and smacks me upside the head causing bleeding was a pretty big *sigh* moment...

valid questions. of course i can only respond with my opinion, which others may disagree with:

zombies spawning in doors can be countered by luring them out with bottles, cans, flares, smoke, etc so i do not think it's unnecessarily hard, just something you have to get used to. plus it's more authentic as one would expect to find zombies inside as well as outside.

i don't think any aspect of the game being fair really applies as this game is supposed to brutal, hard, unbalanced, and unfair. this is also the reason i love this game.

the game can certainly be clunky, especially when trying to evade zombies. i've been doing okay after the patches as far as evasion goes, just takes some patience, experimentation, and some more patience. doesn't hurt to ask for tips in the new players section, or read some of the threads there either.

Zeds spawning in buildings is really getting on my nerves...time after time i run into a building, get smacked immediately and pass out/break a bone/bleed. Its really not fair at all....

Protip: Throw empty bottles/cans near doorways to draw zeds out of buildings.

but the trash loot is in there with the zeds
