Why he survived?

Recommended Posts

Not whining, just wondering. I shot 2 mosin rounds, saw the blood twice, saw him falling down. Suddenly he stood up again. Sprayed 15 .45 rounds, saw him falling down again, he stood up again. Hundreds of blood fountains on him.

No I'm not raging, I'm just wondering because maybe it's a bug, or maybe it's a ping thing, I don't know. What do you guys think? There are no hackers, this is for sure.

I once two-shot a Hoxton-masked guy in the face with a mosin. He fell to the floor, got up again and ran to the nearest crevice to start shooting at me.

Damage is all fucked up at the moment. Ever since they added in damage dispersion amongst clothing and items, anyone carrying a can of beans and a protector case is a tank.

Is it? Shit, I didn't know that =/

At least I got to kill his friend (who killed my friend) and ruin his things.

Any who, if you are wearing a shirt and tac vest and have a lot of items in your inventory and then you are shot in the chest and arms, your clothing takes a lot of the damage first, such as going from Pristine to Ruined. Your items all start to take damage too, like cans of beans going from pristine to ruined.

I don't know the exact calculation of damage, but I once had my shirt with an ammo box and my assault vest with an FNX45 and 4 mags.

Some dude popped out of a building and lit me up with 5 or 6 M4 hits (he wad spraying). My shirt and vest got ruined, my ammo box and all the ammo were ruined, my FNX was ruined and 3 of the mags were in various states from Worn to Badly Damaged.

I killed the guy with 2 B95 shots, one to the chest and one in the face. I looted him, switched out my ruined stuff but then noticed my statuses were still "Energized", "Hydrated" and "Healthy".

In the past, taking that type of hit from very close range would have at LEAST caused me to heavily bleed or get knocked out.

Seems like items shouldn't take damage from shots, or if they do , they shouldn't negate bodily damage, i can see clothing blocking some damage fine, but a baked bean can completely blocking a bullet? Idiotic.

WH40K right?

All bullet impacts cause blood to flow even if no damage ends up being received to the player.

How is it invalid? You can still bleed, but the damage you TAKE is still mitigated by what you wear and the items you hold.

I've been shot and bled, patched myself up and then received my "Healthy" status in under two minutes. Bleeding isn't and indication you're about to die.

a ballistic helmet, heard putting them inside protector cases works even better, in your inventory is better than on your head ;p

Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you. A backpack FULL of canned foods can probably stop a couple 5.56 rounds or handgun rounds. For game balance, if they want that to be the case, you shouldn't be able to sprint.

But if you're wearing a vest and shirt with some cans of food and an ammo box and a .308 strikes you in the heart from 25 meters away, you're going down.

the fact is, he said He spent all the pistol mag and shooted him with 2 mosin rounds so i just THINK that after the mosin shoots and the 7 rounds of pistol( :o ), all of hes items went ruined and stoped taking damege

I would love to see in-game ricochet. Watching someone pack a ballistic helm on their chest only to have the bullet bounce off and into their jaw.

I've been shot by a mosin three times as a fresh with random crap on/in my torso/backpack and wasn't grey. I mean, everything was ruined but I was alive when I shouldn't have been that's for damn sure.

this will be why I survived 2 shots from the blaze yet 12 items were ruined...
