VitalEcho 3 Posted March 8, 2014 Most people will advise to avoid Elektro. Use the map at dayzdb.com. Start working inland from small town to small town. Super_Duty 466 Posted March 8, 2014 Go North young lad, stay off the main roads, much safer, stick to the tree lines for about 10-15 minutes running time. Watch for the towns and the occasional street light, catch a pond or stream for some water. I think it will save me somehow :) What happens if I die? :huh:It says that my character is dying from dehydration and the screen is full gray. I can see nothing now. There were a couple of times early on playing this game where things were picked clean and I literally died on the door step looking for left over scraps playing on a heavily populated server. Its almost impossible to get by on a full server unless you happen to log in at the perrrrfect time to get fully kitted out and headed inland on your own. @OP ... sad as it is to say, if you want an easy starting time try servers with 10 or less. 20 or less if you want it a little bit harder, should be able to find stuff in the nooks and crannies though. More than that and every little thing will be gone in all but the most remote towns, and I guarentee someone is headed for those while you're still looking for a proper T-shirt and fire axe. Source: Three deaths in the past few days on full servers all from starvation while running frantically from town to town trying to find something to stuff in my gob.
