Crazy stuttering when i try to play. Please help

Recommended Posts

I just bought the game yesterday and I have been getting this issue... Every 5 seconds of play the game freezes for 1-2 seconds. I tried changing my graphics and still the same thing. Changed the rendering and still the same thing. It happens when I move, chat or stand still. Please help me I have tried EVERYTHING to get the stuttering to stop but it keeps doing it. Parking my cores, using all them, with game booster and without changing config in documents folder. Everything I can get my hands on in the past 15 hours... still no luck. The bottem is a test i did with all info and it says the game should run.

Hm tough. I presume maybe have you tried restarting you computer? Checking processor and graphic card temps while playing? You may be overheating.

I tried restarting, and my temps are rlly low aorund 40c. I actually bought some suppreme thermal paste today b/c i overclocked my processor thinking that was the issue. Still nothing. But when set affinity to 1 proccessor to the game from task manager, the lag is less but it still does it. it will be like a 1 sec freeze instead of a 2. but still every 5 seconds. I play bf4 with no lag at all. its hard to beleive this game takes up more memory.

What type, speed and cache size is your hard drive?

The SA (like every other ArmA engine based game) loves to stream textures from your hard drive.

Do you have a separate sound card or is your GTX 560 taking care of the audio?

changing affinity makes a difference huh? Are you using launch parameters example -maxMem=6138 -maxVRAM=1023 -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=4 ?
