"So...you ughh Friendy?"

Walked into a building and ran into a guy who had an M4 at his side. As I watched him shoulder his M4 with a look of panic in his eyes, I panicked and begin to also aim my revolver towards the man standing before me! Walking backwards as fast as my legs would let me, I TUG AT THE TRIGGER for what seems to be an eternity, shots ring out towards the man! But at the same time, this man whom I just met, he too is firing his weapon! Suddenly I think...I got him! I'm sa...f.....*black screen -- YOU ARE DEAD --

 

My unbelievable discontent is ended shortly as I think to myself - I must have got him too at this distance! I hit the ESC key that allows me to see whats in front of my now dead character to discover none other that that man whom I just met....had indeed been shot and was on the ground! 

 

With a sense of content I hit "caps lock" and through my mic I say .... "So.....you ughh....you friendly?" and to my surprise I hear a response shortly after "Yeah....yeah I'm friendly."

 

Just another day in the wonderful world of DayZ....

I had a similar situation but the dude I put down was an asshole so no guilt there. We were both unconscious though. Until his ass pirate friend showed up.

Once this guy gave me a ride. He crashed it. I walked in a house (he followed me) he had a nice g36 and I had a glock. I said to him "you know why I walked in here?" He said yes. We both looked at eachother and just fired away. We both die and laugh about in side chat. Lesson here was. Awkwardness can lead to death.

Figured others had similar stories, stuff like this is what really pushed me over the edge to move forward and purchase the game!

I didn't read anything about looking the other way while a drug addled, alcoholic makes a international fool of himself.
