darthsatan 2 Posted June 24, 2012 I'm not sure if it's just our server (Atl37) or all servers, but it seems the ingame/server time is most definitely not 24 hours, more like 96 hours. I played last night for about 8 hours but according to the watch ingame, only about 2 hours had passed. Are we doing something wrong? Is there something to do with the server config? Is that why others restart their server 6 times a day? I personally prefer to play at night under the cover of darkness but it's difficult when the server stays daylight for 3-4 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated on what we can do about keeping our server on a 24 hour clock.
Legacy (DayZ) 1091 Posted June 24, 2012 Servers generally need a restart every 6 hours.

Disgraced 1123 Posted June 26, 2012 Yeah, this is the number one reason that I 'server hop'.I see a server (Dallas 22, this morning, but there are many other instances), and the desc says 'GMT -5'. Cool, I think, 6 AM (I am GMT -7 and it's 4 AM here).Nope. I get in game and it's pitch black night. I check my watch, 10 PM. Derp.
Spookz0r 12 Posted June 26, 2012 Time is always fucked up on servers. I play with friends and if I ask the time everyone always gives a different answer while we are at the same server. 5 people 5 different times. For some its even night and for others day.
