kOepi (DayZ) 35 Posted March 5, 2014 hello guys,I'd like to suggest new conditions for the inventory system, as realistic as possible. This would mean that any cargo and any item has a weight and a volume value.I come from the A.C.E. mod community and therefore I did a lot of researchwhich was taken over into the mod.in the A.C.E. mod it is looking like the following video shows, inventory slots for your pouches on your body and backpackspace defined as the simple volume of it.here is a video to show how it is in that mod.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPgZdamcMvoI think with this system and a realistic stamina system you will reach an immersionthat holds the correct balance between mobility and accesibility. There are similar suggestions on this forum, well, didnt findanything which is on a similar scale of thinking.I am offering myself to give information of the collected data andI am willing to do more research as requested.to name some examples of the stuff that I did, information I gatheredfrom first hand measurement, calculation and blueprints to comeas reaslistic as possible to volume and weight of weapons, magazines, cartridges, belts, handgrenades, mines, anti-tank-weaponsand rockets.best regardskOepi
Khad (DayZ) 293 Posted March 5, 2014 That would be nice. I really miss a stamnia-system. And as soon as there are vehicles, I'd like to be forced to WALK most of the time. You shouldn't be able to carry things like wheels like in the mod, too. You could carry them in your hands to the next vehicle, like we know from the Devblog. Damnyourdeadman 1045 Posted March 5, 2014 Hmmm i remember having this conversation on an older post.We discussed it in depth,i'll give you the link if you wish to check it out...http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/172875-inventory-system/?hl=item#entry1789212But concerning myslef,i think it's a very good idea. But it is development-heavy to implement, and the game needmore vital infastructure at this stage. But in the future, definetely.
