Why do players of DayZ think that all they need to know is 5 or 6 TV/Movie references, to actively role-play with their actual imagination?

So, I haven't gotten to the end of the video, I am just really really hoping that at 3:10 or so, when some guy says "everyone off the boat", that about a dozen people just hop the rail and fall 30 feet to their death.
