looting your own body / or any body

i dont seem to be able to loot from either my own corpse or any corpse.

You have to get close to the body and use your action menu to select 'gear'

 

Though I agree, it ought to show up when you hit 'tab'. It'll probably get fixed in the future, but for now use the action menu.

 

[EDIT: The action menu is accessible by using your scroll wheel on your mouse, and your '[' and ']' keys. I believe

thanx guys. i used my scroll wheel but ..nothing. ill try looking at waist and legs next time. so annoyed i ran all the way back to electro ( as you do) found my still geared body because the kid who shot me whilst i was shouting friendly said he would leave my gear and sat there for 5 mins trying to loot it.then someone axed me...the humanity.

you can loot people with tab when you see the little image of a rifle while looking at a body also bare in mind someone could of "hidden" the body stopping you from looting said body.

 

Just aim your dot at a body until the dot changes to a rifle image and then press tab.

Dead bodies disappear within 10 minutes. For some reason your own body is visible to you much longer, but only lootable within 10 minutes after dead.

I even put my sks down to use a mosin and it was forever stuck to the ground.
