Taping gear

I was thinking of the noise you make when you move.  What if you could use the duct tape to tape some of the gear?  It was a common practice for us in the Army to tape the straps and such to help minimize the sound that we made as we moved.

Never heard of this before but it sounds like it would work, perhaps duct tape could also be used to strengthen damaged gear.

Only difference in the army is we used a material style duct tape that was camouflaged ... loved that stuff. 8-}

I like a lot of these ideas, but I think that we have to remember that this game has to be kept simple. There shouldn't be options for everything you can do in real life.

 

Actually, the noise your gear makes isn't even that loud. It's impossible to hear from more than 5 meters away.

The noise made by running haunts me, the tapping sound makes my flesh crawl.

 

I support the OP, get rid of the tapping if there is no equipment on your body to make it.

Ahh.. YES there should ! the more variety the better ! all the little niche things combined together is what makes this game good..

 

ALSO - Try taking your boots off to make less noise indoors ! :D

 

ps Is there even a use for duct tape yet ? I seem to find it a bit but I don't think it's useable yet ? first thing I can think of is taping a torch to a shotgun

Duct tape could also be used to mark building, doors etc
