Zjasuu 337 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm not 100% sure about the story behind the zombie outbreak but I feel that the coast area is way too fancy and clean. You'd think that if there was an apocalypse everything would be f*cking chaotic and danger would be always around the corner... well only place where danger is around the corner is Electro, but other than that the whole coast is a pretty gentle and even friendly. Once camping and base building gets implemented I'd like to have a reason to go up North and start a camp there. But now staying on the coast isn't that dangerous. I've had numerous occassions in which I was just blatently attacked/murdered by bandits, I even had 1 encounter once where 3 freshspawns attacked me when I was moving to Elektro along the coast. Personally I think the coast is pretty dangerous due to no hiding spots & the treeline where anyone can snipe you from...And currently, there isn't a real reason to go into the wilderness. Except for going up north to the airstrips. Or maybe to hunt animals which aren't implemented yet. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The only time when the game feels "scary" is the first 10-15 minutes until you find a decent melee weapon. Since there are only a few, rather stupid zombies right now, the only reason not to survive are bandits (and glitches). Just wait, this will change a lot once the intelligence and number of zombies will increase. Respawning will already make the game a lot harder. At some point you will NEED to crawl and stay hidden or you will die from not 1-2 but 10-20 zombies chasing you. However, there is no reason why the coast should be more or less "dangerous" then the rest of Chernarus. Wait until the respawning, grouping, more numerous zombies from Experimental hits the stable servers... you'll be spending more ammo on them than you will anyone else. I killed one with a bat, and attracted five more just from the sound of that. I don't think I'd dare use a gun, you'd have every zombie within 1000m come running toward you and you better hope you'd have enough ammo, because they actually hit hard!
