AlphaDogMeat . 493 Posted March 3, 2014 I'd like to apologise the two guys with axes who tried to KoS me in Dubrovka the other night. I guess painting that Mosin black must have made it look like a stick. Cheers for the loot though, I was getting hungry.

lowkey 14 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Not true at all, and you're assuming too much here. If you're a lone wolf carrying both, you have the Mosin in your hands most of the time. The lack of binoculars at the moment makes this a necessity. Lone Wolves are going to be a bit more paranoid and scan areas from the treeline with the scope before they move into a potentially dangerous area. Once you get deep into cities, inside buildings, then you switch to the M4. But you might still switch again if that building offers a good vantage point to look around. So it's not just sniping; a scoped Mosin is just the best tool there is for recon right now.I am a lone wolf player! Setting the M4 down to scan then picking it back up is easier then dropping the Mosin to engage at close range , then having to find your Mosin again. Alot easier to mod a M4 then replace a LRS. Edit: Also, if you look at my post, I made itt clear I was talking about geared players on the coast! I also said I under stand players loading the other way for recon. I do not asume they are bandits when inland. However, a geared player, solo, on the coast is either looking for a fight, or trying to be a Hero. And even most would be Heros I have met are more looking for bandits to kill then people to help. So even they are LOOKING FOR A FIGHT. I only hold them in a little higher regards then the bandits/KOSers. And only because they only go after others who are there LOOKING FOR A FIGHT. I have met very very few Heros who play for no other reason then to help people. Edited March 3, 2014 by Amodo
Jayz1331 62 Posted March 3, 2014 I usually sit around electro with my mosin with my team, we usually have 3/4 snipers and 2 people on the ground helping people out, although we look like a bandit team we never shoot on sight unless we see people being held up. i found the team after countless deaths trusting other people and being back stabbed. i never get attacked to gear but always give people the benefit of the doubt, il talk before shooting and only ever retaliate. colinm9991 196 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Like HrkiGV said, there's a 50/50 chance with fresh spawns as there is not with two geared guys bumping in to each other. (Nice to see you post something other than the word ALPHA by the way). Every player counter I've had has resulted in a death, UNLESS that player really needs something such as ammo, if it's food they need then they'll just shoot. It's sad to see, but I pretty much kill on sight now which I thought I would never do. I'm not attached to my gear, I just don't feel the need to die every time I encounter a geared player that I can't avoid.Even if I can avoid the player, I tend to push myself toward them because it's only a matter of time before they're they ones watching me, most of which won't turn around and walk away like I sometimes do. Congrats on losing your "virginity" OP, expect plenty more. Draft up a map on Photoshop of "Red-Zones" or "kill on sight" zones to limit yourself and understand what's friendly and what isn't, I propose adding Elektro and ALL airfields/military bases to that map. AlphaDogMeat . 493 Posted March 3, 2014 Awesome first post.To clarify, I had the rifle slung and the axe out for zeds. 1 guy ran past the door just as I was exiting a house, and his mate joined him as I was saying I was a friendly. They both stopped and as I was putting up the axe to show friendly they came for me, swinging. After I'd put them down, I spend the next few hours half-blind as I learned about rebuilding blood and health and how difficult it is to find houses, food & drink when you can't even read the road signs.
