Where did you hear that? Doesn't look like a suppressor to me.

1)Dean mentioned they were working on a silenced pistol in the Eurogamer livestream posted earlier this week.

2)The picture of the silenced pistol in the Tumblr link above very closely resembles a Ruger MKI, II, or III and appears to have an suppressed barrel.

3)This combined with the comment in the link above that "at the same time we have created new reloads for Ruger MKII" has led me to this conclusion.

Here's an actual stainless Mark III with "integrated suppressor."  Pretty close to what's pictured in the Tumblr dev blog link above.  That being said, they may have modeled theirs off of a Mark II with "weighted" match barrel.  They look very similar.

Urgh all I want is proper respawning loot. Only.. Few..more..months.. >_>

Don't fret.  Zombie respawn 1.0 is in Experimental now and on to Stable next week (hopefully with some tweaks).  Loot respawning should be soon to follow.

Did all characters get reset than too?

No.  I've seen some complaints about servers not being able to connect to the central hive though and this will result in your character not being loaded and you starting as a fresh spawn.  Best thing to do is log off immediately if this happens and wait.  Then try and log on later 10-30 mins and see.  Once the hive is back up your character should load normally.

HOWEVER, if you stay logged on as a fresh spawn and that server is able to cnotact the central hive you're previous character will be overwritten with your new one.

Hope the stripper clip animation for the SKS that's on experimental means that actual stripper clips are coming soon for the SKS.

Starting our focus on survival

God, I love that title :)

Development of Cooking System Starts

This week we started on a cooking system. [...]

The items will slowly heat up, and when at the required heat for the required period of time, they will become “cooked” and/or turn into something else (such as soup). Items can become overcooked, and items can also become cold via some process (this will be looked at later).

And as mentioned on reddit: Some items that can be consumed raw, will have negative effects if not cooked (e.g. rice)

The Ruger MK2 WILL have an integrated suppressor, and this one will actually already work as also mentioned on reddit.

Stab attack with hay fork? Well...the mob running around here finally has one ingame ;)

New Zombie animations...let's see...well, in march^^

Guaranteed Network Messages

We now have a new system we are testing internally for sending guaranteed updates across the network. This is very important as we believe this will reduce the problems for those who are experiencing severe desync. We are still testing this internally, and it will be sent out to experimental for more testing next week.

Waited for this. This Server-spamming messaging system that is in place now is awful at best and now instead of sending the same messages over an over and over again, it will be sent only once...maybe this will also result in a better server performance, since the server is not so busy with these messages...

Final word

Much more is ongoing, and we look forward to presenting our Roadmap for the rest of the year very soon!

And this. Since Dean mentioned in late January that they will present the roadmap, I wait for it ;)
