Sapi plate suggestion

As many of my fellow prior and current military personnel know, sapi plates and the heavy square objects that are inserted in your flak jacket that actually stop a projectile from penetrating your torso. When they are hit with a round, they actually break. So I guess you could say they become "ruined". 

 

Wouldn't this be a great little military loot item to be able to place in your assault vest slots for added protection?

I like this idea, maybe not sapi plates though. I personally think that putting books, or scrap metal of some sort in certain inventory slots should work like this, but obviously not be as effective.

Currently I just fill my pants, shirt, and assault vest with cans of food and sodas. It seems to do the trick.

Ima let you all in a secret. Fill your shirt, pants, vest, and backpack with pristine ballistic helmets, and wear one. It does a number on inventory space but boy let me tell you, I took a shit ton of Mosin/M4 rounds to actually die. Most of the time this technique stops bleeding from occurring.
