s32ialx 10 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) is it possible to 'downgrade' back to stable from experimental without redownloading the whole game? would it just be easier to make a copy of both for switching back and forth? like with world of warcraft client versions? Edit...Also I know my character does not go over but will it wipe my character on stable or is going on experimental the same effect as going on hardcore as opposed to regular? With that I mean you don't click on your play DayZ button and it pops open a separate launcher. That's usually how other games have a test server. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
s32ialx 10 Posted February 26, 2014 what I mean is if I make a copy of said game instal folder then download experimental... play on it then make of copy of experimental and place stable back over the original location replacing all files in it with stable again will that work? and vise versa? I assume the hive set up it would be but I would like to ask just for peace of mind. I assume the hive setup is like this? FishGuts4Lunch 66 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) I do the exact same thing. I have two characters on experimental and two in stable branch... hardcore and regular in each.
