Most used version of DayZ

Recommended Posts

Ok before I start I want to say I did BUY Arma II: Operation Arrowhead BUT I got the NON PIRATED Arma 2: Free which IS a version of Arma 2 that they released which only contains the MULTIPLAYER but not the single player. So now that that was said I will begin. So I got DayZ due to youtubers. I noticed their DayZ looks different in GUI. I want to know what version of DayZ is the most popular. Just got the game and got it on the latest version on DayZ commander since that program is required for Arma 2: Free to work with DayZ. I noticed not that many servers had alot of people playing on them when Hide Other Versions is checked. So I want to know which DayZ version is the best. And for proof that I have PURCHASED Operation Arrowhead and have Arma 2: Free on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198068887306

Depends on the server you want to play on. The 'best' version is the version used on the server.

But the latest version of the particular mod you want to play, as that one will usually have less bugs in it.

Steam has the latest version of the vanilla mod available for free download. You could do worse than start with that one. It's 1.8.0.3.

Commander is a nice tool for almost all the other mod variants :)
Easy to use and it will do everything, except play the game for you hehe

But you will have to figure out what variant fits you, theres a ton of differences.

Presumably there a way of playing the variants without commander, only it won't work on my PC due to an ongoing problem I have with the .NET Framework?
