Advent1 126 Posted February 25, 2014 There are two different bushes that you can press F on (press F till you start doing an animation). You can get blue berries (poisonous) or red berries (non-poisonous). I know in electro outskirts by the red roof barn there between 5-10 bushes of the red berries. The blue berry bush seems to be common in berezino and all over the map, I haven't really been out searching for what areas have the most specifically. I'd say there are somewhat filling, probably give between 50-100 energy. (Can of beans gives something like 300-500 energy)
Whyherro123 2283 Posted February 25, 2014 That is kinda funny, because IRL, you want to avoid any sort of berry that is red or white, unless you can positively identify it as a (in my region) a raspberry or cranberry. Where I am from, blue/black berries are safe to eat 99% of the time.
InvisiMan2013 229 Posted February 25, 2014 So is it worth the time spent looking for berries if you're starving, or are you expending more energy than you're getting out of them?
Whyherro123 2283 Posted February 25, 2014 So is it worth the time spent looking for berries if you're starving, or are you expending more energy than you're getting out of them?In Day Z, or in real life? In real life, it isn't worth going after berries unless 1) there are bushes in your path of travel or 2) you find a fuckton of them and can gorge yourself They tend to be rather lacking in calories, and in larger amounts, act as a diuretic. Good addition to other foods, though, especially pemmican.....mmm pemmican
