Spawning in plain green field

Trying to pick up from where i left off in my last game but spawn in plain green field with other player models that dont move and then die. Been running around and found a few animals, what do i do?

head east, and walk for 20mins, you will eventually reach the real map.

Check your files, they may be outdated or not installed correctly.

all files up to date, east form the point of spawning? If not i could be walking for a long time

I suggest SE. Running E might not work because sometimes you are very far to the NW so E will actually take you along the top edge of the map.

E/SE should bring you back to the map in the shortest time possible.

But it is possible you are up to 24,000m away which can be an 80 minute run or more so I suggest balancing something on your 'W' key and going to watch a movie or something.

Or just click respawn.
