GoldenKade 73 Posted February 23, 2014 Tell your most painful DayZ stories. I'll start: I was in the NEAF after a server reset. I had an sks and I was just intending on gearing up in hardcore. There are 2 other people on the server besides myself and the airfield is unlooted. All of the sudden I'm desyncing so hard that I can't pull anything out, so instead, I lay down where I am (the ATC tower 3rd floor). Now I hear the sound of a loading M4 and/or an FNX. "fuck, I hear a server hopper" I proclaim to my friend on teamspeak. When I can finally pull out my sks, I can see that this guy just loaded in. Based off of what I heard when he loaded in, he was below me or on the top of the ATC tower. When he came in, everyone in the server hit 100k desync and couldn't do anything. He managed to climb a ladder (which I would've heard) or up the stairs directly in front of me (which I would've seen). I had my back to the outside of the ATC tower, and when I could finally pull out my gun and the desync was gone, the motherfucker was standing right behind me with an M4. I turned my head slightly enough so that he wouldn't notice it. Knowing that there was no way of winning the situation: I said "I'm friendly" (which is clearly bullshit because server hoppers deserve to die in a fucking hole) and took about 60 rounds in the back. The best part was, I only died about 30 rounds in though, due to the retard's lack of accuracy. So when this asshole decided to join the server, he lagged everyone out putting himself at a great advantage. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Why is my AV gesturing? "YOU GATHERED SOME BERRIES AND PUT THEM IN YOUR MOUTH"!Ah. Well I know now what bush bears berries. Hurrah.Collect stuff and more."You have a funny taste in your mouth".oO...... a while later Chernarus seems incredible grey and dull ...oO"YOU FEEL NAUSEOUS". POISONED! CRAP!.The chances are bad, as far as I know.Running for NOVY SOBOR, finding a discreet shed with recognition-value and drop everything useful in the backpack.Pack and weapon go to the floor. Armed with trousers and an axe off to find charcoal tabs.Just behind the shed - punking. I see... the first zombie in the blurry. I slay him. The second one approaches... and I pass out. 5 seconds later: "You are dead". Hrmpf.New spawn, new luck.West of Electro.Sprinting for 13 minutes, having a pumppenstop and two cans of tuna from a house next to the pump (wow - two cans in a room). I'm just one kilometre south of NOVY SOBOR. Shed, I'm coming...Slight twitches form in my smile as the message appears: "No. response from server since...seconds".In red.With chain.A reset...
