Yes, you can make a sawed-off by using the hacksaw. I've found it to be very effective at close range. As a bonus, you can store a sawed-off in a backapck.

Norinco (china) makes an 870 clone, Charles daily sells a Turkish made pump action similar to the 870, Baikal (Russia) makes a pump action shotgun that amounts to a clone of the 870, tho its most recent model has some interesting features such as an optional box magazine.

There are only two western guns in the game right now, the FNX 45 and the Colt Python. The M4 is used by and made in countries around the world its even used in some former soviet states.  The B95 is German, the double barrel shotgun is made by Baikal in Russia.

 

I am sick and tired of reading posts from players who assume that everything but the Mosin and SKS are western guns. Do some research.

 

"The MOSIN is a western gun we can't have the Mosin its bad for muh immersion. They were once made in the US and the US military used them in combat."  That is what you sound like to me.

I'm not talking about places of manufacturing, I'm talking about what you actually see when you head out there. I'm talking about origins + some history. About what it looks in the east block right now. And the M4 is a western as fuck gun, and since when does germany does not count to the west? You do know that the wall fell quite some time ago, right?

So you think it unlikely that a civilian hunting rifle made in Germany would be exported to Russia and former soviet states? Hell Germany shares a border with the Czech Republic where Bohemia is based. The Czech military along with other former soviet states ISSUES M4 rifles to their military and/or police. The US is the worlds number one arms dealer. M4's are used and have spilled blood on every continent.

Yes, I'm aware. Yet these are not weapons that are likely to be found in a post apocalyptic environements, and germany has fairly thight regulations on who we sell arms to. Anyways, I'm just saying that the game would massively benefit from an increased amount of civilian, eastern style weapons.

When's the last time you holidayed in Chernarus? Does anyone know a backstory? We can't even get an exact timeframe after the first zombie. So as I've said in another post, who's to say there wasn't a multinational containment effort with troops from the US (M4), EU/UN (blue helmets), NZ (berets) and Australia (strap-on ball gags)?

There are like 5-7 military bases/regions in chernarus.

 

when the zombie-virus hit chernarus, it would be just normal human logic to send troops there.

Be it US-, german-, french-, UN-bluehelmets, chinese, japanese, whatever soldiers....

So i think, of course you should find more Mosins, IZHs, etc.

But M4s, Blasers, Pythons, Remingtons andalso FNX will be found. Maybe more rare than eastern guns, but they would be definitively there.
