Blood spilling on the ground.

I see people bleed. if a good animation but i don't see the blood go on the ground and form a pool of blood.
And perhaps the blood on the ground or floor can stay there so other players can see there whas some one here and he/she died.
It give a nice scary look to the game as well.
Ones the server resets the blood is gone to other wise the blood can stay there.
Now for the blood pool, Blood can dray up and for a slitly darker colour.
If some thing is in the blood like a apple the apple is getting blood on it as well and when you eat the bloody apple you eat the blood to.
Now on the way the blood is dark red or clear red you getting the blood in and you getting sick by it or so.
That way you can go verry far in that subject.
So you must check out the item in your inventory to see if there is blood on it or not.

What about this thinking for devolpment?

The simple idea of a blood trail is nice, but Server side im not so sure.

 

aside from you not speaking the best English.

 

Blood should be dark if it is old and bright red if fresh.

 

Also having blood on items is plausible.

simple put a blood tag on the item if X amount of blood goes here or there.

Having a blood trail to follow would be sick... imagine if the zed's would eat and follow the blood too

In the mod with patch 1.8.1 there already is a working system in place to do that.

 

Have been testing it and I have to say it works flawlessly - so it shouldn't be a problem at all implementing something like that for the Standalone, just from the technical point of view. :)

How would this affect server preformance if there are for example 100 people online, would the blood trail be "cleaned up" by the server after x minutes just like bodies?

I would assume it would be falling under the normal cleanup-procedure. Speaking of which - I highly doubt it would be implemented any time soon, even if they could port over the system from the mod immediately without changing anything (which is unlikely, but let's just go with it).

 

When you kill Z's they despawn almost immediately, due to the cleanup to save server performance and as long as that's not sorted out I don't think it will even be considered to be implemented, as it would have to be synced across all clients.
