Spawning without any Weapon?

Hey, in every video I've watched, they spawned with an Makarov Pistol and a bit Water and Beans, but when I spawn on a Server I only spawn with a Flashlight and a Bandage. Why is it so? And when I try to find a wepaon, I get every time killed by zombies, and i cant fight against them without an weapon, any help?

The powers that be upped the anti in the game-- you no longer spawn with a weapon, and must scavenge one. Stealthiness is your best option, however, it may be easier to run inland a bit to a barn or smaller city for weapons and gear.

Also, try searching more in the forums; there are some new "nooby" guides that you might find helpful.
