How to identify and report cheating players

Hello,

 

yesterday I had some trouble with cheating users on a DayZ SA server I have admin rights. Some other users identified one of the cheaters using the mute option (he played music over voicechat and was "running" around using speedhack). Once I had his ingame name I was able to kick him and after he rejoined I could get his Steam ID using #userlist. I then had to kick him several times because I don't know how to ban.

 

Now my questions are:

1. Is there any external remote console available? Commands I use ingame show only the last 5 lines of the output.

2. Is there a possibility for server administrators to connect the player names with the players location on the map? This would help to identify cheating users once their location is reported to me by other players.

3. How to ban a player? Or am I only allowed to kick players as long as the server is connected to public hive?

4. Where do I report a cheater? Do I need a video as proof or is Bohemia/Steam able to use BattlEye to track the cheater down?

If you want to report a suspected cheater, you can report their profile on Steam. While these reports don't directly result in bans. VAC can decide to investigate their machine a little differently, more aggressively, more frequently, or sooner based on those reports.

There are no admin tools to see player locations, that would be open to abuse. Can't really help with your other questions.

For me the situation is very dissatifying. Abuse happens on both sides, but right now only cheaters have their tools and benefits that it is more easy to shut down a server than to ban a cheater.

Same problem here,

 

it's hard to identify hacking/glitching/cheating players. I sometimes try to make them write a message so u know the name(s). My server sometimes effectively gets raided by glitching or cheating players, spawning in walls and aimhacking. The only way yet to get rid of them (for the moment) is to restart the server and/or kick every player u don't know personaly, but it ruins every actually good and fair running game.

 

The only problem then is that u can be reported for kicking every player or often restarts just to get rid of hackers. I'm just waiting for the first report regarding my server for using my admin rights abusive. It's a real pain in the ass. I guess it would be very helpful if u could see who's killing whom, so u could at least kick guys shooting other guys trhough walls or with hacks of any kind.
