snark 1 Posted June 24, 2012 So I did this 12 times..."RETAIL INSTALLATION1) Download both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead2) Make sure you install the latest patch for the retail version from http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates 3) Run the game once before proceeding.3) Download DayZ Mod files. http://armafiles.info/dayz/4) Make a folder named "@DayZ" in your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory.5) Inside "@DayZ" folder create another folder named "Addons". It should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons6) Unpack all DayZ Mod files in the "Addons" folder.7) Right click on ArmA2:OA.exe - create shortcut.8) Right click on the new shortcut - properties.9) Add "-mod=@dayz" without the quotes to the target line. You can find other launch options, like windowed mode here: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2...Parameters10) Run the shortcut."... and nothing. I even tried to download and install the beta patch and still nothing. When I turn on Combined Operations and click on Addons there is @DayZ and it's green, but I can't see it under the ArmA logo and I can't connect to any DayZ server because I have "wrong version".I never successfully installed any mod into ArmA, I've tried Namalsk and ACE but nothing worked correctly.I have original version (non-steam) of ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead. lvg 1690 Posted June 24, 2012 Ah then the answer is you could either be joining a server that requires the 1.60.93965 beta patch or you may need to patch your standard Arma 2 game to 1.
snark 1 Posted June 24, 2012 Ah then the answer is you could either be joining a server that requires the 1.60.93965 beta patch or you may need to patch your standard Arma 2 game to 1.60But I saw somewhere that if you correctly installed the mod, there should be a DayZ sign under ArmA logo in upper right corner, but I don't have it there. There's only the logo without DayZ.
lvg 1690 Posted June 24, 2012 There should but your folder seems correct and you're using the mod line, did you patch Arma 2 (Not OA) and then run it first?
