DayZ Easter Egg Expedition Team

So, lately I have heard of Easter eggs, I thought it was complete bull because its Alpha and well... Alpha, they're focusing on priorities, or so we think.

In the last month the latest patches have brought me great joy, yes great joy.

They have added ways to be a survivor without looking scary in military gear, like now you can be like Rick Grimes in the cowboy hat a shotgun and a nice brown leather jacket, admit it, its amazing as hell.

I also somewhat wanted Easter eggs, and somewhat not, in a horror  survival MMO you wouldn't really expect silly things.

There aren't tons of Easter eggs, two that can be easily confirmed and just look legit, others, not as much.

2 Examples - Bigfoot, so apparently you have to have 2 people shoot one "special" tree twice then bandage or epi one of them and stand around for like 5 minutes to hear a, probably edited video noise, screech. Yea... sure.

Example 2 - A noisy train, so apparently there's a train station with a train in it that makes noises too, horn and like its moving noises, nah not buying it.

Here's 2 Examples of probably legit Easter eggs.

Example 1 - The Devil Santa 2D Art, this has a 2D picture of a scary looking Santa Claus(St Nick) inside a chimney closest to the hospital towards town in Chernogorsk. It looks really legit especially since the guy did different stances to get different views of it (not easy to edit it) and don't forget the 10+ videos showing off this one, yes even the kid with the iPhone recording of his computer screen,

Example 2 - A statue in the middle of the forest near Kamenka laying on its side, it is told to be a Russian leader, probably a Russian person that has gone down in history,

There is also the Green Mountain Mystery that was actually implemented into DayZ Standalone after all the rumors of it in the mod, which is wasn't, so I'm glad Rocket, and the Dev Team as a whole, heard our voices of the rumor.

So, I decided, why not get a team of friends, and go do an expedition for Easter eggs in game, confirming and myth busting them.

So, for the community, I will go and do the sad, illegitimate, Bigfoot Easter egg to confirm it or not.

I'm going to get multiple different angled screenshots of them and post them along with the aftermath post confirming some and leaving the other myth busted or unconfirmed.

I will also try and put some work into the Green Mountain Mystery, I will go there in game at the hour with a radio and try and hear the message myself. I will have a note on me of what the message says from FPS General. (Thx for figuring that out btw)

I will go to each of the coordinates in-game in the order they were said by the AI Radio Operator and see if anything is there besides the confirmed deer stands, I'm also gonna map them out, connect the dots, etc.

I'm thinking a 4-5 man team of behaved people, I will pick them from my friends list on steam and will notify you of the names of them on the aftermath post. I will also help anyone along the way, my role is team lead and medic.(Being a medic in DayZ is cool now)

 

So the team will consist of, in order, a

TeamLeader/Medic

Navigator

Radio Operator

Scout/Counter-Sniper

and if anyone else joins, Ill pick some sort of role for them.
They will have an amount of days to gear up, don't care how, just no banditry.

Some of the requirments will be -

Radio/Walkie Talkie

End-Game gear, not bandity military looking

Pens and Paper

And other helpful things that is assigned to there roles. (i.e. navigator has map and compass, medic has medical items)

We will continually have the Radio Op on channel 87.8, what I think goes the longest range, so any new spawns want to join along on the ride, I will make a comment on this post saying what server we are on around 12:00 next Saturday, yes I know it is a long time, but gearing up takes some time and we need the weekends, and this weekend is very close, I would like to do the expedition on Saturday and Sunday and I haven't picked people, roles, or had time to gear up in the new patch, new patch new life is my rule.

Anybody who does not play often that wants to hear anything, get a radio by server hopping or anything else, then when we announce the server and the time, hop on that one and have quite a few batteries and listen for us to broadcast on 87.8

heh I found that guy a couple of weeks ago. now I have ask does everyone that finds him take a screen? I did. as for the evil santa apparently there is more than one, if you climb the smoke stack at the factory in vybor and do a good 3pp peek down the stack he's there staring back up at you - scared the bejesus outta me when I saw that one. while you guys are out looking up those coordinates on the deer stands I would be interested to know if the one that is fallen over shares the same coordinates as the one a couple of meters away. I've also noticed there appears to be coordinates hand painted on the posts of these stands but I have yet to log them to determine if they really are coordinates and if they are all different - the hand writing is all the same and I am usually too busy being paranoid to pay much attention. oh and have fun :)
