Will you take the red berry?...or the blue berry?

While playing around on experimental I found a couple of the berry bushes. Below is a quick video I slapped together.

 

Further below is information on foraging.

Foraging information:

There were some points I neglected to make within the video so I will make them here.

 

Not all bushes have berries. I've heard the berry bushes have small specks of red or blue, but while making this video it was quite dark and I couldn't tell. I just ran up to bushes hitting the action key and if an animation started I knew I had a berry bush, if not I would continue. On a side note, while editing I noticed a small dot would appear when 'using' the berry bush.

 

It's a bit hard to spot, but for those of you familiar with the action menu and its placement...if you go up to a bush you suspect has berries then scroll your mousewheel. If a small dot appears where the 'action menu options' should be then you know you're at a berry bush.

 

Something else I noticed while foraging was that berries would sometimes appear in the 'vicinity' tab of the inventory. While the animation cycles hit your inventory key and keep an eye out for berries to appear. I was able to dbl click them and add them to my inventory even when it said "no berries found".

 

I think that was all I had to add. That's all I can remember at the moment anyway.

UPDATE!!

 

I was quite sick when I logged back in. In the red kind of sick and my screen greying out. So I took the last of my antibiotics and made sure to eat and drink constantly to keep myself energized and hydrated.

 

I decided I would head to Berezino and see if I could find someone willing to inject me with saline. I had the saline on me so it was only a matter of finding someone friendly enough to help out. After a bit of running I approach the eastern outskirts. I should mention that I had managed to find an SKS and some ammo back at Krasnostav. Not wanting to appear hostile, and also not wanting to run into someone that wanted my weapon I made the decision to drop my rifle in a bush just outside of town.

 

So I stashed the gun and headed in. It only took a few minutes before I ran into another survivor. I called out and explained my situation and asked if they would help in exchange for food. Luckily this person was cool and so I got my saline, and he got some food. As we are trading another two survivors come into the bar. We talk and decide to barter a few items. Seemed like everyone was in a good mood. We decided to group up and headed to Svetlo. I stopped by the bush and grabbed my rifle and off we went. A merry band of strangers.

 

After about thirty minutes my sickness was gone and I had made a few new pals...and we all lived happily ever after.

 

All in all, a pretty good session.
