RIOT ARMOR

Recommended Posts

Almost all riot shields are made from High-impact Plastic. >NOT BULLET PROOF<

There are a few, however, that can stop > LOW VELOCITY< Rounds like Pistols and Shotguns. They will NOT stop intermediate or rifle rounds.

The bullet proof(ish) ones should be in-game, melee-only would be useless. It should replace your backpack. It would be proof against all pistol/shotguns and melee, and have a slight chance of bouncing 5.56 from an angle, and reduce damage of those that do penetrate.

Maybe a craftable one to? (Non-bullet proof)

Riot armor should be a yes, but it should slow players down considerably and have little-to-no storage capacity, so a group might carry a disassembled set in their packs, while most players woukd only wear the helmets (making tgem virtaully invincible to fist knockouts)

I think most police issue Riot gear is 100% NOT bullet proof. However their is a russian helmet that is bullet proof with a visor i think that would be more usable?

Plus its russian which i think from what ive read is local to Chernarus?

If I can nitpick a bit, there is no such thing as "bullet proof". But those helmets look cool! We could use some more helmet types.

Yeah not totally bullet proof but the whole helmet and the face shield does protect from:

Sphere C
Helmet "Scope-On" is intended to ensure the protection of the human head from potential injury from the bullets of the following types of weapons:
    * TT pistol caliber 7,62 mm;
    * Makarov pistol caliber 9,0 mm;
    * PSM pistol caliber 5,45 mm;
    * Pistol caliber 6,35 and 5,6 mm,
    * As well as from the effects of fragmentation, ball and flechettes.

Also the sheild that they use "Zabor" can stop 7.62 from AKM and SVD but weighs 50kg

^the helmet in that photo isn't "Sphere-C", it is "K6-3". That thing weighs almost 8 lbs. I don't see it being at all useful for the average survivor.

In addition it's not riot gear, it's a helmet for counter-terrorist units or weapons teams storming buildings and such. People fully expecting bullets shot their faces.

For comparison this "only" weighs 6.4 lbs.
