did you equip your flashlight and pull it out to your hands then press L?

Is it dark out? Sometimes you cant see it if its daytime out.

Hey,

I started playing DayZ a couple of days ago however when it comes to night I'm forced to change server in a different time zone. For some reason I can't get the flashlight to turn on. I've tried pressing the L key while facing all different angles and nothing happens.

How do I get the flashlight to work at night?

Have you unequipped it from your tool belt? so it's in your hand then pressed L. Also merged thread with the same type.

Yeah it's a bit messy sometimes. Try crouching standing up, pressing R to reload, right-left clicking. Should help.

This was it.

You have to open your inventory, right-click the torch and click remove from toolbelt.

My friend has troubles with turning flashlight on and off.Its very buggy.Sometimes it does work and sometimes it does not.

Unequipping and equipping it from the toolbelt might help,but it seems that it is server dependant.
