How can I make DayZ run better? Its already on the lowest!

Hello guys! Awhile ago i bought DayZ wanting to give it a try, however, it didnt run the best, so I uninstalled it. after awhile of friends nagging me have decided to give this game another shot! I would love to play this if anyone has any suggestions or any ideas of how to make it run faster, it currently is on "Very Low" I don't mind graphics, as long as I enjoy the game i will take speed and smoothness over graphics!

 

Here are my system specs if needed, (Yes, I know its not the best computer in the world, but its also not the worse...)

 

 

Processor - Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz

 

CPU Speed - 2.2 GHz

 

RAM - 4.1 GB

 

System Type - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (Build 7601), 64-Bit 

 

Graphics Card - Quadro FX 1700

Yeah, the best way to run the game better is to upgrade the CPU because it is a CPU heavy game.

yeah that thread can help abit.

im running a pentium dual core at 3.00ghz with 4gb of ram and gts450 graphics card and can manage 15-30 in elektro, but i think about the same anywhere else

i lowered some of the graphical options in the config files, stuff like scene complexity and max frames ahead, should make it playable at least
