Quoting people out of context and misconstruing the quotes doesn't exactly add anything to the discussion.  The question I posed was to the guy who said the person warping around ghosted by switching servers and then switching back.  So yeah...

Yeah and I was responding to you because the video is edited and we don't know how long it was.  I also restated other possible reasons for him getting shot.  Again, no one here has once said hacking does not exist but it seems so many ppl are missing that part of the posts..

Cool, the video's length has absolutely nothing to do with the guy warping around at the house.  I don't really care how the guy got killed or when.  I clearly said in my post that it could have been anyone who killed him and the video showed no evidence of it being the same guy warping every 10m up to him.  Thanks for playing, though.

And how do you deal with it?  Oh if you mean ignore it, that's not dealing with it.  I personally just don't play nearly as much as I used to after getting esp/teleported on twice.  You want to see this get fixed quickly, then start bitching more about it.  There is no ignoring a player that can take out an entire group of players because he knows where they are all at, all the time, can teleport to them and can always hit with the aimbot.  So please do tell, how does one just "deal with it"?

 

Sadly, the reason I am taking a break is because I lost two characters I had worked really hard to build up after my friends and I were killed by a teleport hacker in Balota, and then (the last straw) when my friends and I were killed on the mountain between Elektro and Cherno. I clearly saw the guy phase through the wall after killing me, loot my body and then phase back into the cliff face, meaning he was shooting through the mountain.

 

My one friend uninstalled the game in a fit of anger. I'm sure he'll reinstall at some later date.... maybe... he's kind of stubborn, but I think he realized it's an alpha and will simply reinstall when things have settled down.

 

Still, I've died many many times because I was either careless or got outplayed. That's fine. I've been fully geared, walked into Elektro and then a sniper shot me in the brain; it happens. But when someone cheats to kill you, it's just too much to deal with. It makes you just go, "What's the point?".

Who gives a shit if he died. The asshole skipping across the screen is clearly a hack. It's not desync when that happens. Desync is when you can't see shit around you moving at all. Stop down voting and trash talking all the people posting about stuff like this. It's the only way shit can get fixed. So can we finally agree that this game has a ridiculous hacking problem?   Im afraid this game is doomed.  Scripts have not gotten better, its the same or worse since the mod.  At what point will everyone question how 30 million dollars cant stop hacking?

There is not enough proof for me.  Someone could have easily snuck up on you if you he knew what he was doing.  Before you scream "I WOULD HAVE HEARD HIM!" 

 

1.  If you go prone and roll it is silent.

 

2.  If you tap w instead of holding it, it is silent.

 

3.  Also he may have logged in behind you.  I know that spot, a lot of people log around there.  Maybe he ghosted or maybe he just happened to log in.  I was in sniper hill once when the server crashed, when i joined a new server there was a unaware elite scout sniper ten yards ahead of me.

 

4.  You never even saw him/got a good visual.  Maybe someone just walked up behind you.

 

I am not trying to be rude just looking at the facts.  The video doesn't give a visual of a teleport, just a man disappearing.  I don't hack and dayz has teleported me around PLENTY of times.  I am sure some people know what I am talking about.  Once i was running towards electro, I finally got inside the city and then it teleported me 20 minutes away!  Also the video doesn't even seem to show the man attacking you, i re-watched it a few times to check.  It just shows you aimed at the town watching a player that stutters a bit and then some gunshots somewhere close behind you and then you die.  If you could slow the video down and maybe highlight the man that shot you (if you saw him) then it would help.  At the moment though I don't see enough to prove hacks.  On a final note I find it unlikely a hacker would do short range teleports like that.  Teleporting from a fence to a red house then into the red house.  Hackers tend to teleport long and medium distance or DIRECTLY behind players.  I have never seen that expect for when I lag.  

 

Also my personal tip, don't sit in a tree and try to snipe high populated areas.  It seems safe but it is just as and sometimes more dangerous as being in the city you are sniping.  A very fast way to get geared quickly is to the hunt the snipers and a lot of players know this.  I often get high end gear in ten minutes just by hatching some unaware sniper in electro/cherno.  *And yes i have been accused of hacks a lot.  Even got a temporary ban from a private hive because the admin wanted to 'investigate me.*  

 

Final conclusion.  50% chance of hacks, no proof but some weird coincidences.  Personally been playing a LOT of standalone.  Never encountered any major hackers *few minor ones spawning with gear but I saw them get banned before my eyes*.

Compelling evidence but I noticed a big difference of your hacker.  You saw him coming, stuttering though the air without any animations.  This guy only tped once and he was still doing his animation before and after the tp.

Search up "DayZ Standalone Hacks" on Youtube, you'll notice that a lot are uploaded in the past few weeks, and there's been an increasingly larger amount of hack reports recently. Look at the Youtube video names, you'll notice a lot of big name cheat websites in the titles and descriptions.

 

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that a few of the big name cheating websites just recently released some official hacks and we've just gotten stuck with a wave of hackers using the new products, it'll die down a bit once they start getting detected I'm sure, but you can't deny that we're seeing more hacking now than ever in the Alpha.

See my post above, the game isn't finished, they haven't hardended it vs hacking yet, scripts are still turned on in the engine, they wont be in the final build. Chill.

For the 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999th time, it's not hacking it's ghosting.

The person logged out, joined an empty server, ran to your position, then joined your server again.

(Not that that's okay either, but it's not a bannable offense.)

 

(Also lol some guy watching over town with a scope...totally not a bandit. :D)

 

This happend in the timespan 5 minutes. And this is on the patch with server hop time penalty's so no this is not ghosting. I am a expierienced Dayz player and played this game over 3 years. I know this is alpha and it might be buggy but i know when a hacker is active, so pls this is not is this a hacker topic this is a hacker caught in the act.

Video in first post doesn't look like a hack, at all, to me. It clearly shows a camper preying on new spawns, one of which is having connection issues as is clearly displayed on the bottom left hand corner. Someone else, then, sneaks up on the camper and puts a quick end to him. Very likely someone who spotted new spawns getting sniped from the hilltop.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that a few of the big name cheating websites just recently released some official hacks and we've just gotten stuck with a wave of hackers using the new products, it'll die down a bit once they start getting detected I'm sure, but you can't deny that we're seeing more hacking now than ever in the Alpha.

 

Just found a topic on a forum with download link to a hack. The authors post has 700+ likes and thats only one of many forums. I do not play DayZ since patch 0.44 or 0.45 - cant remember, so i cannot say if there really are  that many people around.

coincidence. Check bottom left, xxx player losing connectivity explains while the player is desyncingin front of you. The fact you died was another player overwatching from same point (its not exactly the most imaginative sniper position), probably watching the same guy you are, then moved down to the town to take him out when couldn't get the clean shot, then stumbled upon you. Simplest answer is probably the correct one.
