I was just recently at the north-east airstrip and i was trying out my new mosin, not really KoS'ing but killing players who were server hopping and getting loot. I ended up spotting a fella and i know now that he had saw me, but he was on the side of the hangar and he ran around a big loop and came to the other side where i was waiting for him. He had an assault rifle and i had a mosin, i tried to take my shot when i could after a barrage of bullets hit me but I missed my shot although i know it was directly on him. Ended up breathing heavy then my screen popped up with You are Dead. I ended up losing my rifle with a PU scope, bipod ect. I also lost my Red down jacket which is my worst loss. Aswell as a ton of ammunation and food and general supplies. Kudos to that player and I'm glad to start from the beach again. :) Post your stories please

Lost full gear lots of times.

Spawn in at Otmel Island run the gauntlet all the way up too Berezino (bullets whistling all around) some semi naked people offering me fruit, others just pointing (this land of Chernarus is one strange place).
I finally make it too Berezino "without the shirt on my back" then it happens I come across one of the most sacred items in DayZ the one thing no survivor can live without a can-opener, next thing *crack* You Are Dead.
To this day I've yet to find another mystical can-opener.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well it's only been about an hour really, I shall never look at another one the same.   ;)

Got capped at an airfield last night. 

I lost: 

My SKS (Pristine)
My Sawed-Off (Pristine)

2x FNX's and mags and ammo enough for both.
1x Magnum (no ammo)
Mostly military clothing including a Ballistic helmet that was one of the first things I found while scavenging the coast.
Food & Two full pristine canteens.
Medical supplies including saline, antibiotics, charcoal tabs and water tabs and a defib. 
A chest holster (don't think I'll see one of them again for a while :( )
M4 accessories & full double clips that I was hoping to trade along with one of the FNX's and the Magnum.

Early hours (Australian Time)..Was about to go to bede when the server restarted. I was just south of the NEAF and decided to have a quick look see. All going well got some more ammo for my sks a med kit. was seraching a room when another player came in. I panic and calle dout friendly. He doesn;t respond. I go crap and try to head  out of building(As he starts taking pot shots) . I can;t return fire as my weapon was stowed while i was sorting out kit.(yes silly boy while in the barracks)

 

Tried to pull out my sks and hit axe instead . Was crouched and went to stand so i could run around the corner and try to get a better pos to fight from. hit v instead and proceed to do the fence hopping dance. Didn;t make the corner as screen went black (unconcious). Tried to talk to them(Not sure if unconcious ppl can hear you).

 

I said take my kit but can you please use the epi or if you really want the epi pen then the defib and revive me. Nothing. I am like come on mate you taking all my kit i will be no threat please don;t make me spawn back on the coast.. Still nothing. After 30mins of being unconcious i had to go to bed and exited.

 

So if you come across a body just out side the right hand side barracks it was I. Not sure what will happen when i log back in,.

 

My own faulty really as i was not paying attention and that's what gets you killed. Kudos to him he is now much better prepared.

 

Part of me hopes someone was wathcing and took him out after he got me. But alas i fear i will be in bambi mode when i log in tonite.

 

Did i mention i love this game. :D

DayZ Mod. Was alive for seven consecutive months and played every day or every other day. My entertainment was going around as a medic and healing people all day long. Been shot at and shot, but never killed. Lost an M4 CCO SD, PDW SD, ~7 clips for both, ~50-60 cooked meat, a UAZ filled with tires, windows, cooked meat, scrap metal, and medical items. 

 

Why did I lose all this amazing gear? One day when I logged in, after nearly a week of not playing, the game wiped my character.

 

 

 

 

I'm still 99% sure I hold the record for days survived. On top of that, I have the least amount of kills. Zero. I hadn't killed anyone for seven months.

All my deaths were on different airports in the building with prison on the ground floor.

 

Lost all kind of loot (from Mosin, SKS to M4,...).

 

In each instance I died because of a slight drop in concentration.

 

Once I died, becuase I saw a new New Zealand military beret, next time i died because of Rocket glasses, etc.

 

So I blame Rocket, not my incompetence....  ;)

My most aggrivating death was when I had a mosin, plenty of supplies and was making my way through electro when, the server I was on crashed as I was organizing my inventory and I lost my medical supplies. I join another server instead and next thing I know im bleeding to death in electro. I was searching for something to fix myself up. Even the HOSPITAL! But found nothing and died from blood loss. It was horrible hahaha :rolleyes:
