I think thats if you get attacked by a zombie and get hurt enough to start bleeding, you can get some kind of infection where if you dont get proper meds you can die even if you patch yourself up w/ bandages to stop the bleeding hence the "zombrex"

OP did not read background.

All survivors are people who are immune to the infection. Hence, there will be no players turning into zombies.

I knew I had read that we were immune somewhere, I just don't remember where I read it.

Meh, survivors are aparently "immune" in the game, i'd prefer that if you get infected you just die once incubation is over, no cure or there wouldn't be any outbreak to begin with.

I'm sure Dean Hall would like the idea of stealing this concept from Dead Rising.

Steamroller motorcycle FTW !!!!

Notice:

From what I read, players won't be "immune" to the infection.

Somewhere I read that you can contract "brain fever" or something when being hit by zombies, and that has to be cured in the long run. For gameplay reasons it won't be every hit, but that does not mean you are immune, just as you aren't immune to bacteria in ponds. Just not coded in yet.

You might be resilient, but not immune :P

I voted yes cause I think that dirty wounds needs allways cleaning and if not cleaned then infection will come and take you. Then you need antibiotics to cure.

you can get infected, Brain flu is a very serious and almost always fatal condition that has a 1% chance of occurring by being hit by a zombie. There are four stages: minor sickness, sickness, fever and terminal. There is currently no known cure and the final stage is continue indefinitely until the player dies. It is unique noting that one of the effects is a negative shock value in the two later stages.

Didn't someone posted a excerpt from a PC Gamer issue, where they interviewed Rocket and one thing was, that players could be able to build up laboratorys in the future to create new virus strains and such?

Even though I find this idea pretty shitty, there might be some possibilitys for "player zombies" in the future.
