The anonymity of video games, and the internet in general is really the "problem". I've been in game with 15-16 year olds that acted more mature than folks my own age, been on the other side of the fence too though. I can also appreciate the idea that they are "role playing", but I think its more a case of being a successful troll. Sadly, I don't deal with it well and feed them often, but I try to look at it objectively when its not happening to me. I guess I hypocrite much! Kinda sad though, I have yet to see another player (Maybe I'm lucky).

you wander in to Elctro and expect not to get shot? there were 4 ppl in a server i was on, guess what "Im a friendly" I ran in to shot me in the school, coastal towns are hot zones, you don't want to get blasted, roam the middle of the map, no one goes there, you want some action you come to Electro, I got killed 6 times yesterday, am I mad, absolutely not, am i gonna warn someone before i shoot them, absolutely not, this is after all a game so enjoy it and make the most of it.

 He doesn't tend to shoot people on sight. He runs up to them without a care in the world screaming about ghosts and spirits or trying to spread the word of The Lord while the rest of us hide in a building laughing our asses off at him.

But that's the thing he wasn't being an ass to be an ass. I do the exact same thing, I even have a bible to do it with. 

And that's fine, my complaint was that almost all chat between players has devolved into your average xbox trash talk.

God I wish dayz was never put on steam, the amount of nasally, foul mouthed,shoot bambies on sight 14-17 year olds that has infested this game(and the mod before this) is sickening. Something needs to be done with the game that will make them flee and never return, nothing turns me off more than spawning in elektro, and getting shot in the first house I enter while hearing some nasally 15 year old yell annoying crap over direct. Eh, or I'll just wait for star citizen.

Welcome to the KOS Deathmatch Permadeath Standalone.

 

Until they come up with some type of effective visual Humanity System, there's no real reason not to KOS.

 

Nothing else will fix it.

 

Personally, I stopped playing.  Really boring gearing up for hours, then going back to the coast just to murder everyone you find.  Yawn!

I play 2 ways...but first off, I suggest hitting the EXP servers. There is far less douche baggery and most MOST people are friendly. It is really fun.

I had 4 or 5 positive interactions yesterday, even went AFK in front of a random dude in a house and he dropped me a can of tuna and ran away.

 

1. spawn, run north, outskirts, collect end game gear and then go snipe the douche bags by the shore

2. spawn, embrace your inner 14 yr old for a bit and go beat them at their own game.

 

like the other day, 2 young fellers come up and try to be all funny and mocking. So I just keep running. They then proceed to tell me that because I tried to run away from them I have wronged them and they want to beat my head in?...like wtf is this playstyle. Pure trolls.

I had a b95 with no ammo...unfortunately and no melee.

 

seeing as I could not out run them, I just ran in to the water and watched them complain on how cheap I was playing that they couldnt steal my gear or bash me in lol!

The place I grew up in, I stopped being a kid at age 12 lol. Talking to people alot of kids do today would get your ass beat good.

 

Besides that, I really don't mid some 12 year old kid playing dayz, but when it comes to where 3/5 people you meet on a server sound like they are 12-17 years old, I start enjoying the game less. While there may be some of them who are mature and play in the spirit of dayz, the majority of them aren't and scream in their mics usually about fucking your mother or you being a faggot.

You should have used cover and gotten the hell out of Electro, the only reason to go to and search Electro is to engage in PVP. Sure you spawned there, so have most people, and they either accept they are going to get shot at by nasal 12 year olds or they MOVE INLAND, skipping Electro.

 

Getting shot as a newspawn is stupid, but its a part of dayz, DEAL WITH IT. Don't clutter the forums with whine threads where you blame steam and preteens/teens for your issues.

I actually more then agree with OP, I know we all used to be kids, but I really wish they were not getting their hands on this.. It would seem most of us are mature and our balls have dropped years ago... Its more then annoying when some squeaky voice kids kill you for no reason and go "HAHAHA YOUR DEAD ASSHOLE" If you guys can even handle this video I suggest you watch it, I almost closed it multiple times and then proceeded to want to shoot myself LOL.
