Banned from US 3480

Recommended Posts

Player Name: BloodFartSandwich

Server: US 3480

Date of Ban: 2/15/2014

Ban Description: Admin Ban (BloodFart script esp)

I was at electro sniper hill, right on top of Dobryy, when I decided to log off to get a weapon from a tent in another server. I tried to log back in to US 3480 and saw the ban message claiming that I used an esp script. I don't use scripts so I went on the ventrilo server to talk with an admin about the ban.

When I spoke to TG Triton, he immediately said that I was banned for using a esp script because I changed my name three times that day. When Triton saw himself failing to provide adequate evidence for the ban, he told me to speak to 'Jimmy' and banned me from the ventrilo server.  While it is true that I had changed my name three times that day, I don't see ANY reason why that would lead someone to suspect the use of esp hacks. The name changing was done to give the players that I killed the illusion that I logged off since the death screen gives players my name. I killed a bunch of fresh spawns along the coast East of Dobryy and felt the need to change my name a few times. I did kill TG Trition once or maybe even twice which leads me to think that he might have abused his admin powers if he was the one behind the ban.

I was not using any scripts and there is no evidence of esp hacking so why the ban?

Your temp ban was for the combat loggin and name changing which was excessive. Three different names in 45 min is suspect in itself. You got banned form vent as you were not pleasant.

I understand what the 15 minute ban was for but not the 'esp script' ban. It's good that you retracted your ban before you would have found yourself fabricating evidence. On ventrilo, you sounded convinced that I would end up being global banned LOL!

Fresh spawn killing and combat logging... Sir, you are the WORST! lol

Yeah and I got the best out of this admin. I'll make him more mad next time.

Let's leave the threats at home.  Sounds as though you were temp banned for questionable gameplay, and after Triton reviewed the logs and code necessary the ban was lifted.  I assure you it's not worth holding a grudge over things like this. The server sees a lot of traffic--and it's not so simple a task to run as you may think.  Not only do the admin pay for the server to provide this fun place to play, they also are held to a high standard of checking into every ban and reviewing an almost non-stop stream of logs/code to keep the server clean.

The price we pay for security is suspicion.  It's a high price to pay, but when things seem shady it's our job to act on them.  Sorry for any confusion, but there is precious little data available to admin as it is--we do the best we can with what DayZmod gives us to work with.

Thanks for playing with us, hope to see you in the future.

Cheers,

Jimmy
