I'd just like to thank you bandits.

What would DayZ have been without you? Yes, you can be douches and such, you kill for the thrill, but all in all.. The same thing would have happened if a real zombie infection hit us one day.

So thank you for making this game a bit more interesting!

Oh man today was a good day! On my way to NW Airfield from balota i see a heli crash site at NW of Kozlovka and approach heli site through fields without any danger of getting shot or anything. i manage to shoot all the zeds from distance with my Wincherster and i find legendary G36A CAMO with 1 mag at the crash site, but after my epic moment i hear atv coming from SE and i run to nearest tree line to pray on my victim. i sit there for about half minute and i hear this atv going past the heli site and flanking me. i heard that atv going to NW and i decide to to after him. not long from that i hear gun shots from Greenmountain where i was heading next. this could have not been more perfect situation for me. i was looking for vehicle or bicycle, i had ghillie & G36A CAMO on me which goes really nicely together. i'm at the east side of Green mountain approaching the top of the mountain where is this huge tower and i'm slowly moving towards it at the forrest. i'm basically invisible with my camo gear at the bushes and shadows lurking, hunting my prey. Suddenly i see atv next to road just 20feet from me and bandit patching up him self next to it. i was aiming at his head faster than a blink of a eye and pulled my trigger BOOM... and my eyes wide open looking through that 3,5x scope i see a clear head shot to his forhead from right side. my heart was racing like wild beast at the moment. i see bandit lying at the ground and i put 2 more bullets to his head rapidly just to make sure he doesn't recover from blackout and try take me out. i'm still at the bushes hiding for few seconds to wait if i he had a friend somewhere up the tower or zombies start to chase me, but all the zombies were down and i didnt see any movement at the tower so i ran to bandits atv and take a fast peak at the inventory. there was nothing amazing but 20Lx2 jerry cans full, stagnag mags and some medical equipment. i hop into driver seat of atv and start engine when i hear shots fired at me. i have no idea where and who and i didnt care to find out. i'm driving away from the hill top some one still firing at me. i.m trying to make out maneuvers but still i take a few hits and i get a broken leg and severe bleeding. i drove only that far away from there so that foe could see me and i use morphine to my leg and bandage to bleeding, but i'm so low at blood that i cant see very well. atv was low on gas, but there was a barn with fuel just few minutes to north where i ate some beef burgers to get my blood up and fueled up MY atv xD then on i just headed to north happily with vehicle,food,drinks and medical supplies :) what would we do if we had no bandits :) <3

hey umm may i ask something on anyone that knows the answer to this question ... alright so im new to DayZ i finish downloaded today well.... what happens if i become a notorious bandit? as in i really kill anyone on sight ...? is there any possibility of getting ban if i dont use and hacks / cheats or any malicious programs just pure aiming and so on? if yes please do tell me the percentage of doing so... thanks

theres like 1-2% getting you banned (some admins just get so pissed that they ban you....... it may happen... those admins will get global-banned soon :)

Oh my god. One of the most scary experiences I've had in my DayZ life. Me and my bandit group were camping a Custom Airfield on Namalsk, and suddenly out of no-where we see a ka-60 appear. One of my retarded friends thinks it's funny to shoot at it and we engage in a shootout. He flew straight towards the firestation, where a friend of mine was and just lighted the whole place up with rockets. He magicly survived, they headed over to our clan base and exploded some of our tents. I at the time was sitting ontop of an apartment roof, shitting myself. They came around shooting rockets at the apartaments, and then they ran out. The pilot dropped off the gunner in the forest west of the custom airfield (didn't know that at the time) and suddenly we see him snub-diving right towards us. It turns out he is trying to kamikaze into us, and he misses - parachuting out. As soon as he lands I drop him with my DMR, and I then notice the soldier in the treelines. Shot him and he dropped down onto the ground, think I KO'ed him - not sure, but I shot him in the head afterwards.

I might think of writing somewhat a journal about my experiences; obviously way more detailed, with feelings etc.

Would the experienced bandit approve of lieing. Would you tell a player that you are friendly and that you would give them gear, vehicles etc. when really you are just going to shoot them when they arrive? I have used that tactic myself but I did not say anything that was false. All I did was drive a car to a location, mark that location on the map. Tell everyone that there was a car at that location (and of course there was a car there) and then I just sniped all the people who came to that area. Do you guys approve of that. Is that alright to do. I did not lie?

I ask this because I was recently misled into thinking that this bandit was giving lifts to people at a specific location. I immediately responded asking his location and he gave it to the whole server. I was initially heading to kill this guy and do everyone a favour but then a few people actually met this guy and did get lifts all over the map. I decided maybe I'd help this guy and headed to the location only to be blown up when he asked to me to get in the chopper (He had obviously rigged it with satchels) I then told everyone on side chat to stay away from him but then he gave the bread and butter response saying that I had tried to kill him. Is that what a bandit should do?

I think that if you are going to be a bandit, have some honour, tell people the truth or just kill them outright instead of weasling your way into their friendship circle and then betraying them.

Don't know why but supermaket grocery trips scare me more than kicking back in the hill and stalk stupid heroes/heliborne bandits/clans now.

At least I'll be able to get away or score a hit on them instead of makarov'd by some stupid newspawn (who i have no intention to kill at all, unless they fire at me first)
