TheHolyDiver2288 1 Posted February 15, 2014 Hey guys, Just want to tell you a little story. Run like 5 hours with my friends trough the awesome world of dayz like we used to do in the mod. With my awesome navigation skills i was leading the group so we got lost all 5 minutes ;)We reached the airfield and felt happy like never before.So the looting starts and there it went bad. We all found decent weapons, ammo, food and drink. Then i got the brilliant idea to loot the airtower. found some things and we decided to leave. So i "climbed" down the ladder. and climbing looked like this: pressing the button my character thought this was the signal for him to charge 5m forward fall down and instantly die. and people ask me why i need to smoke so much while playing dayz. pleaso rocket kill this damn ladders dont fix em just KILL EM 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
LeChat 131 Posted February 15, 2014 If you know that ladders aren't working properly... why did you use it to climb down?Of course it needs to be fixed. rickyriot 1009 Posted February 15, 2014 Interaction with ladders will be improved somewhere down the line, however I've never died from using a ladder, ever. Not in the mod, not in the SA. Almost same.Did die once.Learned why it happened (weapon or other object in hands), as well as prone pose can do this too.Never did it that way again. Many ladders later and no further incidents. Many ladders later and no further incidents. I've heard that the game can be buggy when you climb a ladder with a weapon, but I've never had that problem. I approach (not to close) wait for the arrow to appear, mouse wheel to get the action, click F and I'll start climbing. Perhaps I am doing it differently than everyone else... *shrug* I am saying this now, of course you know what will happen next time I'm near a ladder... ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
