5th Kolumn 2 Posted February 14, 2014 I know this is my first post, but it has been a frustrating week. I know some of you can feel my pain. Saturday: A guy chases me halfway across the map shooting at me the whole way. I was just given a pristine LR scope for my mosin from another nice player I metin game in Balota (I helped inject him with saline). He actually killed another guy that was shooting at me. I couldnt ever see this guy, but he finally kills me. Sunday: I meet up with my buddies in Berezino, find a mosin get pretty geared up. Feeling good. Monday night: I knew I should have just played CSGO. I had never been to the ship or NorthEast airfield, so I go. I was fairly geared up, but I found a compensator for my Mosin and a pristine PU scope on the ship for it. Cool. I get to the airfield (there are only 3 other people on the server) and I see a guy running into the jail. I should know better, but I go up to the jail and wait outside to talk with him. He prefires me on the way out with his M4. Dead again. This one made me mad..... Tuesday: I spawn in Elektro, have some good luck and even find a double rifle in a house along with 2 bullets in the firestation. I run into a guy in a house, he didnt have a mic. He sits down and logs out, apparently not knowing the new logout change. He is fine, I dont just kill people, I would much rather be friendly. I get to the hospital and this other guy runs out screaming for me not to kill him. He was literally running in circles almost crying into the mic. (he sounded 6 years old) I save him from a zombie, and assured the kid I wasnt going to kill him. I asked him if he knew where a backpack was, and apparently he thought I wanted his. I left him and logged out. Wednesday: Night off. Played CSGO Thursday: I decided to try and find a backpack which I did. I went to explore the island right outside of elektro with the lighthouse and fall off the lighthouse to my demise. I respawned in Berezino and broke my legs. I ended up crawling off a building and ending it. I am really wanting to KOS from now on, but it feels wrong. What will this weekend hold? I hate KOS people, but understand the game. "I knew I should have just played _____ instead."Be it WoW, CSGO, whatever - I almost always have other things that I can play. I just get a feeling of "well, let me just do this and then I'll be done on DayZ for the day" (happened when I played WarZ too - never fails). I just get a feeling of "well, let me just do this and then I'll be done on DayZ for the day" (happened when I played WarZ too - never fails). I'll get going and then die and lose all my stuff and pound my head against the wall for not playing the game I was originally going to play. After a while I get over it but it's just like, there are some moments where you knew you should have just played another game lol those bad feelings are usually shortly accompanied by your in-game demise. If I know someone has seen me and they haven't said anything, they are probably going to try to kill me.Also, don't trust anyone. You can be friendly with people, but don't let your guard down, always be looking for other people in the area, and always be ready to shoot at anyone in your immediate area. A set of observations that can be applied to any given situation.Your own personalized rules of engagement. Whatever they may be, make sure they collectively go by two parameters:1. You have the upper hand (Defensively, offensively, or superior positioning) before and during the time that you make contact.2.
