Crash when editing video settings

Recommended Posts

My current rendering resolution is set to the lowest resolution. However, when I put it to 100% which is 1920 * 1080p, my game crashed. My monitor supports 1920 * 1080p so I dont know why it crashes. It crashed when I increase it to any number.

Are you recording or do you have any overlays on? for example, MSI Afterburner, DXTory, FRAPS, even OBS? I'm not sure why, but with (any of) those overlays on, changing video settings crashes me. Anything that requires the game engine to restart, Changing Resolution, Anti-Aliasing, VSync, all of them crash the game (for me) when any of the overlays are on. Hope this helps, man.

Well I'm crashing when ever I change a video setting that needs to reset the screen. It also crashes when I alt-tab. I think it has something to do when it stop feeding frames then it crashes...or something like that. I really have no idea what I'm talking about

If you use -winxp as a launch parameter, take it off. it should work then.

Sorry for the late reply. I will try this later, thanks!

OMGitzGnar is exactly right, taking the -winxp out of your launch should allow the game to reset properly while you change settings.
