Weapon engraving, sawing name on items / customizing items

Would it be possible to engrave weapons? You could use inspect to be able to read what is engraved on the weapon.Name for instance, so if/when i find bandit who shot me, i reclaim my weapon back :)  Put kill marks on buttstock or similar things, so each weapon piece would have some kind of history behind it. 

 

 

Or use sawing kit to apply name tag on backpack/pants etc... U know... i was once alive for 7 days with same char, so i got really attached to my gear.

You know that is a very good idea,soldiers often used to carve their names on the stock(butt) of the rifle to distinguish their weapon.

It's not bad to have,it would add to the game,also from a realistic aproach,it's not bad to have.

Imagine then, after a while (weeks or month) of playing you kill  guy and loot his weapon and you see that he was using your weapon :) That moment (emotion) would be priceless!

Take my Texas ranchero beans you beast of a man . Great idea mang I'd just etch the amount of people I've killed with X's on one side of the barrel , and tallys on the other side showing the amount of people I've handcuffed and raped .

What if i could use a knife or bayonet to carve tick marks into my butstock, one for every player killed?

 

Would love.

 

Also, i wouldnt carve my name into it. I would carve in the name of the weapon (Mosin: Lucy. M4: Lisa. SKS: Lena. Colt: Loraine. FNx: Luan).
