Hmmm the software doesn't check for any existing install of @DayZ when folder is set, I had it installed and it directly downloaded every file for no reason. I guess that's a bug.

Hey my downloader stops after the SFX one and wont continue with the update so i keep have to do it by hand. Buuut does anyone know why it does this? I will leave it open for 30 minutes with no progress and also repeat but it won't go past that point. It does update the first 4 though.

Hi, I've just tried installing DayZ manually, but with no success, so I tried this installer. Despite the pathway being correct:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\"

It says "Error: Arma II: Operation Arrowhead NOT FOUND!"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I downloaded and installed DayZ with the worrom installer, everything seemed to download and install nicely. however im getting:

"You can not play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus" when trying to join any server.

The solution offered to this problem is "Make sure you launch the game as 'Combined Operations' and NOT 'Operation Arrowhead' when launching from STEAM."

Only I bought Combined Ops retail, not through steam and there is no way to launch as "combined operations". here is the target path i am using:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead\arma2OA.exe" -mod=@dayz -nosplash

Also, when I launch the shortcut a get a message that says: Addon 'dayz_code' requires addon 'CABuildingParts'

edit:

i fixed the problem by copying the "addons" folder from the ArmA2 folder into the ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead folder

I hate to bug you but whenever I tried to download 1.7.1 from the cdn.armafiles, it would go well most of the way and then tell me that it failed and I should try a force update and check my settings. Whenever I switched to mirror.tritnaha, it gets stuck at..

"Detecting .rar files at : http://mirror.tritnaha.com/"

This was after a forced update. I also tried the Worrom but that instantly gave me a failed status. I find this program extremely helpful and useful as I've been having trouble with the manual install. If you could help me out or give me a solution, that'd be great. Thanks!

because a file exists on the mirrors that has "rar" in the name, but it's actually a torrent (DayZ-1.7.1.1.rar.torrent) it screws up with the download/extraction.

I've uploaded a fix at my site, alternatively you can use this URL, it should be selectable in the drop down list for the program:

Is there a known issue with the new version of the updater not being able to resize window or select locations / dropdown etc?

Updating at the moment, will edit post with a screenshot if it doesn't change post hotfix patch update etc.

post hotfix update 1.7.1 etc, has current updater options for beta launch etc, but has size restraint and no ability to select drop down menus

Ah I see, I believe it is taking your Window's font size selection into account and making it bigger then it needs to be. Regardless, try this one, it will allow you to resize the window:

I found the same errors until I realised that there had been a beta file update also. I downloaded the beta update and installed that, then started the Worrom updater, and bingo, all went in smoothly, and everything works fine now..

I had the same error messages as you guys and tried to re-do it all maybe 4-5 times. Re-downloaded the beta update and installed.. try it!
