Sloddor 167 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) I just wanted to share my experience with the latest experimental patch.I have no tool to measure FPS, but in Elektro or other citys the game runs stuttery.I installed the new patch, and my framerates raised significantly. After i tried medium settings, i raised them to very high, and the results are even better, runs smooth as hell (perfect) Intel Core I5 2500K 3,3 ghz8 GB RamNvidia Geforce GTX 760Win 8.1 Edited February 12, 2014 by Sloddor

antonioajc 500 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Yeah, I've seen Rocket's post on twitter about a new patch (0.36) on experimental. There is no change log as of yet to 0.36, so I hope some goodies were added :D Edited February 12, 2014 by AntonioAJC

Try it, you will notice a big improvement in fps.

Together they're great (e.g: I can play Assassin's Creed IV at 1920x1080 resolution with every setting on maximum), but on their own they're so-so. I currently run all settings on high to very high and manage very good frames everywhere except the cities where the game can sometimes stutter. I just don't want to have to go blow some coin on a better video card when my other GTX 580 is sitting here like, "C'MON MAN, TAG ME IN!" Back on-topic, I've heard that the increase in frames people are experiencing is pretty impressive in most cases. Hopefully I am so blessed.

Hopefully I am so blessed.I've found with this engine that it tends to be more intensive on CPU than GPU so I'm not sure that SLI will make any difference. I'd run something in the background that logs GPU usage and if it isn't using up significant GPU resources... well... SLI won't matter. Then again this is exactly why I bought one really good(at the time) GPU instead of two moderate ones I could link up.

mercules 1290 Posted February 12, 2014 Noob question but how do you overclock your CPU? Thanks. Short answer, RTFM.Long answer, "It is going to depend on your motherboard, CPU, and several other things and doing it wrong can roast your CPU so there is no real way we can explain it to you." Also known as, "Do you have a tech geek for a friend? If so does he like pizza and beer?"
l mandrake 61 Posted February 12, 2014 You need to enter your bios (hit delete key a few times during post)and change CPU frequency - but google long and hard first to find the exact steps for your motherboard. After that, if you're still having problems you can pm me and I'll try to help.

Admittedly this was the mod, haven't fucked with it since SA, would be nice to see some benchmarks :)
Martmital 436 Posted February 12, 2014 I'm hitting around 30 fps going down to high teens in cities. Would be nice to gain an extra 10...

They were the baddest of the bad three years ago. Alas, one of them died, so now I'm down to two. I have tried using the SLI "fix" which yields very good results away from town where both cards are running around 98% load, but when I come near a town both cards drop to 52% load and begin stuttering. Weird.

Weird. Maybe when you hit a town the demand goes over your two cards and so it ends up farmed out to something else? Maybe the CPU? That is odd though.
