Hey guys, a lot of you think you can use charcoal tablets to counter CHEMICAL poisoning.

This is not true, nothing resolves chemical poisoning. The only way to counter it is to be "healthy" and stay in a bush and eat and drink a lot. The alternative is for a friend to sit there saline-ing you. Which will probably just postpone it.

You WILL go unconscious at a certain point, if you are not "healthy" at that point you are screwed

The reason for this is that when you have chemical poisoning your blood and health drop at a certain rate.

Fortunately it is a percentage the blood drops at, otherwise the healthy regen is a set number, therefore once you reach approximately 200-2000 blood you will be fixed at that number and you will not die.

Hospital treatment

Some people who have swallowed a poisonous substance or overdosed on medication will be admitted to hospital for examination and treatment.

Possible treatments that can be used to treat poisoning include:

  • Activated charcoal – healthcare professionals sometimes use a substance called activated charcoal to treat someone who has been poisoned. The charcoal binds to the poison and stops it from being further absorbed into the blood.
  • Antidotes – these are substances that either prevent the poison from working or reverse the effects of the poison.
  • Sedatives – these may be given if the person is agitated.
  • A ventilator (breathing machine) – this may be used if the person stops breathing.
  • Anti-epileptic medicine – this may be used if the person has seizures.

That's real life, this is dayz, there's a difference.

Currently it will override it but the effects of it are still there, you still go unconscious and you still lose blood.

I have not seen any patch notes regarding this, dr wasteland or whatever his name is has already explained this.

Please, explain to us how activated charcoal are meant to prevent industrial/domestic ( =/= medical) dysinfectant or alchool tintures from melting your digective system.

These are not toxines, they basically act as acides, like most chemical "poisons".
