Why DayZ is the best game out there

I know the forum is full of stories but tonight made me realize why this game is superior to all others.

Me and a friend logged in at Stary Sobor and being fully geared for a while, we decided to check out the busier south coast towns. We made the trip down to Balota airfield but it had been completely looted. We admitted defeat and attempted to leave before we saw a guy pop out by the barracks (we were over the other side of the airstrip by the ATC).

We moved to cover and so did the other guy. There was a stand off for about five minutes before we decided to leg it out of there towards Cherno. Unsurprisingly Cherno was devoid of human life so we moved on to Elektro. We approached from sniper hill and surveyed the area from the back of the supermarket. We saw two guys running towards the fire station so retreated towards the hill but unfortunately I was shot and killed.

As the two guys attempted to loot my body, my buddy showed his face and the perpetrators made off. I was extremely lucky and got an Elektro spawn which allowed me to take back my M4 and backpack although the contents were all ruined. After a period of silence, we headed for the cafe style building with the three upstairs rooms to the right of the school.

While in there we were under fire from a sniper for about 15 minutes. We couldn't spot him and we were in cover. Unfortunately a guy with an axe came up the stairs and before we could make contact, began to swing at my friend. We had to sit him down. We escaped the building as the sniper began to shoot at another guy who had ran into the church.

Now we were behind a building to the left of the school and saw an armed guy approaching a building next to us. He noticed us, sprinted in and then sprinted out. He didn't seem like a threat so we let him go. My buddy went up the small hill to see this guy had stopped and was aiming towards me. My buddy opened fire but the guy escaped towards Kamyshovo.

We headed for the same town after a brief wait and met a new spawn who we advised not to enter Elektro. Did he listen? Nope! We enter a quiet Kamyshovo and I attempt to go into the tree line to log out as I was heading off. Before I could, an armed guy went into the trees and I was stuck behind the train station. He saw me, aimed but me and my friend took him out. As my friend looted him, he got killed from behind further up the hill, partly down to my lack of cover. I then had my sight on the guy looting my buddy and pressed fire.... only to be greeted with a click!

I immediately went to reload as a bambi spotted me and proceeded to swing a punch. I panicked and ran away from him back towards Elektro. I entered the trees and went up the hill before spotting the guy who killed my buddy. I shot him several times (has the M4 been nerfed?) and broke his legs. I ran at him and finished him off with my axe.

At this stage I was shaking and my heart beating so loud, I could hear the thump. No other game has evoked such responses from me. I ran further up the hill to log out as my buddy admitted defeat in getting a Kamyshovo spawn. Yes, I have rambled on but it was such a fantastic few hours of gameplay that showed exactly why this game is so good. Long live DayZ!

Idk Path of Exiles is it for me since Diablo 3 screwed up so bad. This would be my second most played game though.
