Ghost Slot in Backpack

I tried a quick search but didnt find anything but im in game so i guess my search could have maybe been better.  Sorry if this is the case.  Anyway, my wife and i are both carrying hunter packs and it seems there is one slot we cannot use, put an item into or do anything with.  I haven't noticed this bug before but even if my bag is not full that one slot will not work..same goes for my wife and her empty slot is in a different location in her bag than mine.   Whats the deal?

Bug/Glitch.

 

Drop the pack (contents and all), and then pick it up again.

Problem comes and goes every now and then.

 

 

To clarify: Just drop the backpack with everything still inside it, and then pick the pack up again. You dont have to empty the pack first.

Rejoin works to, you can see the hidden item after relogg and drop it
