My character yells at spawn

When I join a server my character yells like he is hurt. But he's neither bleeding nor sick and he has the healthy status.

Is this a bug or can my arm be broken (I can walk and run)? Can I even see if my bones are broken?

Sounds like he's still in pain from a previous injury. Even after you bandage and stop the bleeding, a pain effect can remain.

Is he making pain sounds every few minutes?

 

To stop that you need to use morphine.  Painkillers should work also but they don't work yet.

I had it for a while. I looked everywhere for morphine and couldn't find any but when I logged back in the next day it had stopped.

Your character has healthy status when he first spawns? What wizardry is this!?!?

As NotFish sort of says, you are not a fresh spawn then? If that's the case see Hutch's post above.
