Sewing - but what else?

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't incorrect in reading that you could fix more than clothing in the new patch. I know they added the sewing kit/crafting but it also says you can repair items? Is this just me misreading/a misstatement or can you now repair other things in the game as well? 

 

If so how?

it may be one of the times where they put in the ability for items to be repaired but not the repair type items

since there are no other specialist items than sewing kit and wepons cleaning kit, i guess the patch notes are a bit overtuned =)
