Has anyone done this? if so what is your key layout. can you use the same key for two different actions, such as crouch and prone, maybe one tap crouch and two tap prone. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I'm not really answering your question but... When I first played the Mod I tried to using an Xbox controller and it was ok for maybe a day. But you really do need to use the keyboard and mouse, it isn't hard to learn at all. There is just too many actions and not enough buttons.

The number of keys you need to replicate makes controller use extremely hard and limited. It would take some work by the devs to create additional context menus to even get close to full control.

And you'll still be at a supreme disadvantage against people aiming with a mouse and keyboard.

Why the fuck would you want to use a controller? Never understand you fps console types.

Because for a lot of things using a controller is a lot more user friendly. That being said I've been using a keyboard and mouse for many, many years.

But if it wasn't such a hassle to configure I would always use a controller. :)

amen brother! If I had my own way I would still use an Atari joystick, that was the most comfortable controller I ever used. Wouldn't it be great if we could all play modern day games with our favourite controllers from yesteryear, that would be a great way to level the modern day playing field...

Im sure the older players armed with Atari & Kempston joysticks would handle the modern day younger players NO bother!!!!
