skyline-gtr 130 Posted February 9, 2014 Many issues I have read on this forum have blamed Anonymity.However...It may not be as true as you are led to believe. If you open Steam, go to your profile, go to friends list, and then "Recently played with". You will see, in good detail, who you have recently played with on DayZ.
PhillyT 554 Posted February 9, 2014 Sure, but with 40 people on a server, determining who is who is extremely difficult.
doctorrayray 76 Posted February 9, 2014 This isn't worthy of a topic. There is no form of discussion relating to this. And some people would like to stay anonymous on DayZ, buddy.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it.I suggest that if you do not like a topic, then simply leave. No need to be rude.
doctorrayray 76 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Do you have any other response than that? You didn't really open this topic up for discussion. Maybe it would be more suitable if the topic was, "Do you think there should be anonymity in DayZ?". Come on, you're smarter than that. Now kindly stop harrassing me, because there are plenty other topics that may be more relevant in a different forum but I dont see you trolling them.
PhillyT 554 Posted February 9, 2014 I can see there being value in being able to figure out who is who in game, but I think it could be the fact that unlike the MOD, you have the chance of linking an ingame name to a real world Steam account. That could open up some issues, though it is fine on PSN or XBox Live.
skyline-gtr 130 Posted February 9, 2014 Yeah, I can see it might create some issues for persons who agenda is real anonymity and also for those who might be engaging in activities which are not considered entirely ethical.
DeatHTaX 1217 Posted February 9, 2014 anonymity on DayZ? awesome. Should it stay that way? Yes. Forever. What else is there to discuss lol
skyline-gtr 130 Posted February 9, 2014 haha DeathHTax, perhaps you missed the OP ??? Seeing a full list of names doesn't really help narrow it down too much. Edited February 9, 2014 by solodude23

Perhaps not instantly, but a pattern could occur, enabling a process of elimination.
dallas 5195 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) I guess that's more of a Steam feature. I love meeting another player and either forgetting to get his name or introducing myself. Sometimes your new found friend will die, before you get to know his name and it's actually bitter sweet, knowing you'll never know it and you'll never see that kind person again.
