If there is to be any music in-game I would prefer it only be possible with the introduction of some sort of "mp3 player" and headphones items. I am looking for some serious immersion in this game, personally

I played the mod after I played the standalone and my first thoughts upon loading up mod were "Holy crap there's music!" 

 

Music on the home screen, music when you die, etc.  I like it, I support its return for sure.

On loading screens and menus fine, but in game?

 

Perhaps a "soundscape" but as to actual tunes, Im not so sure.

I tend to turn off in-game music in most games, depending on the game. Something like DayZ you want to be able to hear every in-game sound possible rather than music, especially if a player is trying to sneak up on you.

I don't mind music in the game if others will enjoy it, as the first thing I do when I configure a game is turn music off.  I want to hear only the environment and voices.  I would like to be able to turn on the radios in houses and hear pirate radio stations though.

Not as a background music. But implemented within the game through adding tapes to loot would be cool. Pick up radio, attach battery, insert tape, press play. The music would probably be pretty crap though as would likely have to be free of copyright. Maybe throw in a few audiobook tapes just for fits n giggles too.  For added fun, include a record button and make your own tapes. There's ambush potential right there...

If Rocket or whomever is in charge of sounds wants to put in music. Sure. I'm all for it. It'll make stalking all the easier.

That child ... first time i heard that i was playing at night without gamma turned up, i literally jumped off the seat. Ever since then i hate that shouting little girl.. so.. NO! ^^ .. As much i like immersion. hearing sounds from things that just aren't there ingame and may mislead your attention to nothing at all and distract you is just a no go imho.  :huh:

Id like music to be purely in game. So if one finds an old wind up gramophone then that's where you get your music from.

Well there is music allready, sometimes when i walk I put microphone on and sing to it. I know that I have terrible voice but what can you do. Oh wait pls dont shoot singer. Also now ive copyed tool for my keyboard to autowalk, I can play jews harp while walking. So if there is Fry in server there is music.

From radio's found in building's, Yes I'd love to turn one on and either sit or bail and see if anyone comes to investigate.

in game in general, no the bird's and infected are music enough for me, some games music is key but in DayZ music would kill the mood.
